Tonight's episode of RAW (And GOD if I hear Cole call it the "longest running episodic television show in history" one more time I will fly to Connecticut and personally vomit on WWE HQ) had to be one of the poorest that has been put on in some time. To do almost absolutely nothing for over an hour and then put on a skit that makes the Katy Vick debacle of years past look like a Shakepearean epic is almost unforgiveable. I know WWE has had these goofy skits for decades now but for God's sake let's have SOME sense.
Solid performers like Orton, Kofi, DiBiase and, hell, even SHEAMUS for cryin' out loud kept this thing from becoming a total disaster. I do not want to hear a WORD from the TNA haters about the quality of their product or their alleged "small time" shows. THIS IS WRESTLING. Not Comedy Central. TNA focuses on MATCHES and less on stupidity. WWE, with less than a month and a half to the biggest show of the year, chooses to focus on stupidity and almost to no degree on matches or storyline build-up.
I'm old enough to remember the WWF of 1985--yeah it was cartoony and all but the storyline was always there; they've now traded storyline for cheap laughs and slapstick garbage.
Sad. Sad. Sad.
